12-22-2009: We will be closed from Friday, December 25th thru Monday, January 4th. We will reopn for normal business hours (noon to 7pm) on Tuesday, January 5th.

10-25-2009: On Sunday October 25th, 2009, Bob Maddox, original co-founder of Male Hide Leathers, and beloved friend of many in the Leather and LBGT communities, passed away. On Friday October 30th, Bob will be laid to rest in Pineville, KY, where Frank Goley, his life partner and co-founder of Male Hide Leathers is also buried. Because of these circumstances, and because of my close relationship with Bob and his family, I am unable to open my store for business at this time. However I will return and be open for normal business hours on Tuesday November 3rd. At this time a memorial service to be held locally is being planned. I hope to have final details on this shortly. 08-18-2007: Shel-don Chicago will be closed from September 4th through September 12. We will be going to Summer Camp (Hellfire Inferno XXXVI), making sure the men have clothes, toys and other kinky things so their time at camp is fun!

04-06-2006: Spring is here and that means International Mr. Leather will be here before you know it! So if you’re thinking about your leathers, like perhaps a new shirt to go with your pants or a new jock to go with your chaps, now’s the time to come visit me. Or maybe your leathers just need a few nips and tucks so that you look your best. I can take care of those too. Of course I also have a selection of toys, lubes, videos and clothing accessories if you’re looking for those as well. Finally, here's a list of tips to make your leathers look better and last you for many years to come.

10-8-2005: Just in time for Mr. International Rubber 2006! Come check out the selection of RoB rubber items in my store now including full-body suits, chaps, jocks, shirts and shorts. I will be running the following ad in an upcoming issue of Boi Magazine.

9-8-2005: My store is now open. The address is 3922 N. Broadway, phone number 773-296-0690 and store hours are Tuesday through Saturday, noon to 7pm. I already have a selection of off-the-rack leather items available as well as a selection of rubber, toys, slings, accessories, aromas, videos, books, magazines and lubricants. And more items will be coming in over the next few weeks. Of course I'm always available for alterations and for taking measurements for custom items. Hope to see you soon!

6-14-2005: I just wanted to thank everyone who visited my booth at IML this year, and helped make it the success that it was. I had a great time, and hope all of you did the same. All of the words of encouragement, the stories of past experiences and the compliments on pieces that I crafted for customers over the years were very much appreciated. I promise to try my best to continue providing you with the service and quality that you have come to expect from me. Together we can all continue to keep the legacy and tradition of our leather community alive and proud. I will be updating the web site as soon as the plans to open my own store in Chicago are finalized. Stay tuned for that and more.

4-27-2005: I will have a booth at the Leather Market of this year's Interational Mr. Leather along with a selection of clothing on hand for purchase, and of course will be available for taking measurements for custom orders.
